SBB ENERGY S.A. has completed an innovative flue gas denitrification plant project for Vesuvius Poland Sp. z o.o. in Skawina.

SBB ENERGY S.A., together with Vesuvius Poland Sp. z o.o., has completed a project unique in its scale for an environmentally friendly flue gas denitrification system. The system is connected to 7 independent devices, being the first of its kind in Poland. The installation was entirely designed, constructed and commissioned by specialists from SBB ENERGY S.A.

Located in Skawina (Małopolskie Voivodeship), the production plant of Vesuvius, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of refractory materials for numerous industries, has gained a modern and environmentally friendly flue gas denitrification system. Thanks to the use of innovative and tailor-made solutions from SBB ENERGY S.A. engineers, the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) installation effectively reduces NOx) nitrogen oxide emissions into the atmosphere with an efficiency of more than 95 percent, and the local community breathes cleaner air.
