SBB ENERGY S.A. begins modernization of a boiler for ORLEN S.A.

SBB ENERGY S.A., a leader in the field of modern energy solutions, is proud to announce the signing of a contract for the implementation of a project under which it will adapt the OOG 320 boiler No. K3 for combustion as the basic COO fuel, alternatively fired with mixed fuel (COO + gas). The value of the contract is estimated at over PLN 100 million, and the completion date is scheduled for 2024-2025.

The main goal of the project is to adapt the boiler to the requirements resulting from the Regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment of September 24, 2020. on emission standards for certain types of installations, fuel combustion sources and fuel combustion or waste co-incineration devices (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1860) and new, much stricter requirements specified in Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 24, 2010 on industrial emissions – integrated pollution prevention and control, the so-called IED Directive.

SBB ENERGY S.A., drawing on its extensive experience in the energy industry, will use the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) method for exhaust gas denitrification and a dry electrostatic precipitator (EF) for exhaust gas dedusting. The pressure part of the boiler will also be rebuilt.
