SBB ENERGY S.A. will implement a modern Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) utilizing the energy fraction of waste (RDF, pre-RDF) on behalf of Miejski Zakład Komunalny Sp. z o.o. (Municipal Utilities Company) in Stalowa Wola.

We are pleased to announce that on July 7th , 2025, we signed a contract to execute the investment, which will play a key role in the development of a modern and sustainable economy in Stalowa Wola.
As the leader of the contractor consortium, SBB ENERGY S.A., in cooperation with AJ PROFIBUD Sp. z o.o., will be responsible for the execution of this cutting-edge facility. The investment will be located in the industrial zone of the city, away from residential areas, and its total value exceeds PLN 313 million (net). The project will leverage advanced environmental technologies to deliver a wide range of benefits for both the local community and the broader region.
The facility will feature significantly lower emissions compared to traditional coal- and gas-fired power plants, continuous monitoring of technological processes and flue gas emissions, and reduced transportation impact thanks to its greenfield location.
This initiative exemplifies an investment that combines environmental responsibility, advanced engineering, and long-term social and economic value.
The implementation of the Energy Recovery Facility in Stalowa Wola marks a significant step towards Poland’s sustainable development.
